(More customer reviews)First, don't buy this except on sale; I got it for $3.99, and I wouldn't pay a penny more for it.There are several features in particular that I don't like. The first is that you need a fairly sufficient amount of marinade in order to get it to draw any fluid.Because of its design, the fluid has to be at least 3/4 inch deep; any less and it is about impossible to get it to pull up the liquid. That means you have to plan to use the marinade on the outside as well as the inside of the meat, or you just plain have to be cooking for an army.
The second thing that I noticed is that none of the spices draw up, only the liquid.I couldn't get it to pull up any seasonings at all for injection, which is another reason you have to be planning to baste your marinade on the outside.Third, there is leakage in using the injector, and with an oil based marinade, this gets messy to use in a hurry.Fourth, while this will go in the dishwasher, getting the plastic chamber to be clean is another matter.I ran it twice and finally had to clean it by hand. All in all, if I had to do this again, I wouldn't.
July 9 update:After my first use, I noticed that the plastic cylinder split at the bottom where the needle attaches.I was careful in using this product, and this is just junk.Don't waste your money on this.
